Kombinasi Metode Halley Dan Potra-Ptak Dengan Orde Konvergensi Sembilan Untuk Menyelesaikan Persamaan Nonlinear
ABSTRACT
This final project discusses the combination of the Halley and Potra-Ptak
(MHP) methods which are the result of the combination of two iteration
methods, namely the Halley and Potra-Ptak methods to solve nonlinear equa-
tions. The convergence analysis shows that the MHP has a convergence order
of nine. Basin of attraction from MHP and other comparison iteration methods
are provided to visually demonstrate the behavior of these methods. Numerical
comparison of MHP and several other iteration methods which have the same
order of convergence shows that MHP can be used as an alternative method to
solve nonlinear equations.
