Peran Keluarga Dalam Pendampingan Dan Pemulihan Kepada Anak Yang Menjadi Korban Kekerasan Seksual Di Kota Dumai

Sexual violence against children is a form of serious problem that often occurs in Indonesia. In Riau Province, especially in Dumai City, the Dumai Timur District is the highest contributor to sexual violence against children in Dumai City. On the other hand, children who are victims of sexual violence are part of a society that is not yet mature, both physically and psychologically, so they need special assistance, especially families, which are the main basis for physical and psychological recovery of victims. This problem is put forward in the formulation of the research problem, namely how is the role of families in assisting children who are victims of sexual violence and how is the role of families in physical and psychological recovery of children who are victims of sexual violence. To help answer this research problem, the method used is descriptive qualitative research method. The technique of determining the informants was done by purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained by in-depth interviews with key informants and informants. Furthermore, the data is reduced, analyzed and draw conclusions. The results of the study indicate that in the process of assisting the family, they provide assistance from reporting cases, to the police and at court. Meanwhile, the family recovery process takes the victim for a medical checkup, consults a psychologist, takes the victim for regular recreation, does not bring up the incident that happened to the victim, transfers the victim to another school, family therapy.
