Pengaruh Temperatur Dan Waktu Kristalisasi Pada Sintesis Zeolit Berbahan Dasar Fly Ash Pltu X Sebagai Adsorben Untuk Pengolahan Air Gambut
Fly ash is a material produced from the coal combustion process in power
generators, so all of its properties are also determined by the composition and
properties of impurity minerals in coal and the combustion process. Zeolites are
minerals consisting of hydrated aluminosilicate crystals containing alkaline
cations in a three-dimensional framework. Zeolite has properties as an adsorbent
because of the hollow structure of the zeolite, so that the zeolite is able to absorb
a number of molecules that are smaller or in accordance with the size of the
cavity. This study aims to determine the efficiency of zeolite in the removal of
organic matter and color in peat water. Zeolite synthesis was carried out at
temperatures of 75, 90, and 105oC and crystallization times of 3, 6, 9 and 12
hours. The results of this study indicate that the highest removal efficiency was
obtained for the adsorbent from zeolite with a temperature of 90oC and a
crystallization time of 12 hours. The removal efficiency of organic matter and
color was 94.88% and 95.78%, respectively.
