Analisa Keamanan Jaringan Internet (Wifi) Terhadap Serangan Packet Sniffing Di Lingkungan Perumahan Nasional Griya Nusantara

ABSTRACT
Computer networks have two data transmission media, namely wired and wireless. National Housing Griya Nusantara Pekanbaru is housing that has wireless network (wifi) facilities. Wifi networks are very vulnerable to attack threats, because the communication that occurs is open. A good security system is needed to be able to maintain the security of user data in order to avoid attacks by irresponsible people. This study discusses the evaluation of the security level of wifi facilities in the Griya Nusantara National Housing using the Wireshark application. Wireshark is a packet sniffer tool used to analyze network protocols and audit network security, which also has the ability to block traffic on LAN networks, steal passwords, and perform active eavesdropping on common protocols. In this study, two stages were carried out, the first to identify the presence and security of the wifi used. The second stage performs a packet sniffing attack using Wireshark software. as a security testing measure at the Griya Nusantara National Housing. The results of this study are the detection of the presence and security of wifi that is open or without security and the recording of usernames and passwords. This can jeopardize the security of data traffic for wifi network users, especially local residents, so a good security improvement is needed to prevent/handle packet sniffing attacks and more.
