ABSTRACT
The construction of toll roads has various types of large-scale works which usually require quick resolution of problems, for this reason it is necessary to consider using heavy equipment that is adapted to work conditions. Heavy equipment is an important factor in the implementation of construction projects. The purpose of using heavy equipment is to make it easier for humans to carry out the work of constructing a building structure, so that the expected results can be achieved more easily in a relatively shorter time. The contribution of heavy equipment to the implementation of development projects is important to do but requires relatively expensive costs, so a good management is needed in utilizing these resources. The use of equipment is needed so that its operating capabilities can be optimal and mutually support other equipment so that work can be completed on time at a more efficient cost. This study aims to review the use of heavy equipment for Rigid Pavement work on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road Pekanbaru - Padang Section Pekanbaru - Bangkinang at STA 14+600 to STA 14+715 (R2) along 115 m using the Slipform method with the resulting capacity Mini Excavator production is 14.165 m3/hour, Dump Truck is 15.68 m3/hour, Slipform Paver is 27.55 m3/hour, and Batching Plant is 11.01 m3/hour.
