Pengaruh Penambahan Fly Ash Cangkang Sawit Dan Kapur Dolomit Sebagai Bahan Substitusi Sebagian Semen Terhadap Kuat Tekan Mortar
ABSTRACT
The use of mortar in Indonesia in construction is quite high, such as wall plastering, composite column fillers and so on, but the quality of the mortar itself is not considered. The purpose of this study is to produce an alternative waste-based mortar with a stronger quality than normal mortar, and to determine the effect of adding palm shell fly ash and dolomite lime to the resulting strong mortar with variations of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15 % and 20%. Making samples of mortar specimens using a cube-shaped mold with a size of 5x5x5 cm and then testing at the age of the mortar sample 28 days. The results showed that as the composition of milled palm ash and dolomite lime increased, the compressive strength of the mortar decreased but the compressive strength of the mortar increased when the two materials were mixed, which mortar had a normal compressive strength of 28 MPa, after adding palm shell fly ash, the highest yield was in a mixture of 5% with a yield of 20.8 MPa and the lowest is in a mixture of 20% with a yield of 12.13 MPa. Meanwhile, the compressive strength of the mortar on the substitution of dolomite lime was highest (increased) in a 5% mixture with a yield of 35.47 MPa and the lowest in a 20% mixture with a yield of 21.20 MPa. However, in the mortar using a mixture of palm shell fly ash and 10% dolomite lime, the compressive strength increased higher, which was 31.33 MPa.
