Pengaruh Efikasi Diri Dan Persepsi Mahasiswa Tentang Profesi Guru Terhadap Minat Menjadi Guru Pada Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi Fkip Universitas Riau
Teachers are the most important part in the teaching and learning process in both
formal and non-formal education. However, not many students who graduated from
education at the Economics Education Faculty of the University of Riau are interested
in becoming teachers. This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy and
student perceptions of the teaching profession on interest in becoming a teacher in
students of the Economic Education study program, FKIP University of Riau. The
sample in this study was all students from the 2018 and 2019 batches, totaling 147
students. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results
of this study indicate that: 1) self-efficacy is in the very high category with a
percentage of 52.4%, 2) students' perceptions of the teaching profession are in a good
category with a percentage of 60.5% and 3) student interest in becoming a teacher is in
the very category. high with a percentage of 46.9%. Meanwhile, self-efficacy and
students' perceptions of the teaching profession simultaneously had a significant effect
on interest in becoming a teacher by 78.2%. The remaining 21.8% is influenced by
factors other than those studied.
