Pengaruh Umpan Terhadap Hasil Tangkapan Pengilar Di Sungai Nilo Kecamatan Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan Provinsi Riau

Abstact
This research was conducted in Nilo River, Pangkalan Kuras Subdistrict,
Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province for 10 days of research on 19-28 January 2022.
This study aims to find out the effect of different baits on the traps catch result. The
baits use were palm kernels and coconut flesh that are easily obtained in Kesuma
Village so that they can be used as bait in the operation of the traps. The two types
of bait were used to see the effectiveness of the bait being tested on the traps catch
result. Both types of bait have an effect on the catch. In coconut flesh (U1), the
results obtained are 210 individuals weighing 1235.8 grams, palm kernels (U2) as
many as 279 fish weighing 1636.5 grams and fishing gear without bait (K) as many
as 133 tails weighing 711.8 grams. The Selais and Baung fish are the dominant
catches of the two types of bait used. Palm kernels bait is the bait that gets the most
catch results. Analysis of Variance shows that all baits have an influence on the
catch. Then, further tests were carried out using BNT, the results shows that palm
oil bait has the highest effect on the catch result with an average value of 46.5 while
the lowest effect is the traps without bait with a value of 22.16.
