Pembelajaran Sejarah Berbasis Situs Cagar Budaya Untuk Menumbuhkan Kesadaran Sejarah Pada Siswa Kelas XI IPS Di SMA Negeri 1 Rambah Samo Kabupaten Rokan Hulu
Historical sites that are located in one place can actually be used in the process of
learning history, so that history learning can be more varied and not boring. The
problems studied in this study are: (1) How is history learning based on cultural
heritage sites in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Rambah Samo? (2) How is the historical
awareness of students in class XI IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Rambah Samo, Rokan Hulu
Regency in history learning? (3) What are the obstacles for teachers to raise students'
historical awareness in history learning?. The research method used is naturalistic
inquiry with history teacher informants and students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1
Rambah Samo and data collection techniques include the process of observation,
interviews and documentation. Data analysis with interactive analysis model consists
of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and data validity by
triangulation. This study concludes that historical learning based on cultural
heritage sites includes: learning design in the form of a Learning Implementation
Plan that refers to SK/SD in KTSP, learning development stages include initial
activities in the form of apperception, core activities using an inquiry model
contextual learning approach with steps : problem giving, source exploration,
interpretation, and presentation. Then the closing activity with a follow-up. The
results achieved in learning history for students are increasing students'
understanding of cultural heritage sites, being able to increase students' enthusiasm
for learning, being skilled at exploring sources, respecting the past, being able to
work together and always coordinating between students and teachers in dealing
with learning difficulties. This research is expected to be able to describe the
historical awareness of students in class XI IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Rambah Samo and
contribute to history learning in the Riau area.
