The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the construction of the Tanjung Buton Port on the socio-economic community of Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. The method used by researchers to compile this writing is based on historical research methods. This study uses a social and economic approach, namely by examining the social conditions of the people of Sungai Apit District and studying the economic conditions of the people of Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency with the Tanjung Buton Port. The results of the study found by researchers that there were socio-economic impacts caused by the construction of the Siak Tanjung Buton port, especially in the fields of health, income and employment. In addition, the local government and the provincial government also contribute in advancing the development of the Tanjung Buton port
