Perkembangan Motif Batik Gonggong Khas Kota Tanjungpinang (2010-2020)

In Indonesian , batik grows and develops as a manfestation of
cultural wealth in indonesia so that there are product innovations from various
regions and each region has an icon to make it easier for customers to rmember
the batik products of each region. Batik, which originally only exsited in java,
especially Centeral Java, then develop to other regions and each region has a
diversity of batik patterns that characterise each region. Beetween other regions
and The Riau Island (Kepulauan Riau) region has batik with its distinctive
patterns,namely marine life such as Gonggong. In this study, researchers
compiled and described the development og Batik Gonggong because it is still
less known to the public and is rarely used even thoughtit has become a typical
batik from Tanjungpinang City. Therefore, to find out how to the story and
development of Batik Gonggong and role of the government in prevesing Batik
Gonggong, researchers are interested in conducting research with the title
Development of Batik Gonggong Motif Typical of Tanjungpinang City 2010-2020,
History Batik Gonggong Motif Typical of Tanjungpinang.This study uses
descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques, namely
through interviews, observations, documentation and library techniques. From
the results of the study it was found that the first time who created or pioneered
the Batik Gonggong Motif Typical of Tanjungpinang City was. Efiyar. M.Amin in
2010-2020.
