A professional teacher is a teacher who has a set of competencies (knowledge, skills, and behavior) that must be owned, internalized, and mastered by the teacher in carrying out his professional duties. The competencies that must be possessed by teachers are based on Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning teachers and lecturers in Chapter IV Article 10 paragraph 91, which states that "Teacher competencies include pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence, and professional competence obtained through professional education . Of all the competencies that must be possessed by teachers, based on interviews with the school the researcher found several problems regarding personality competencies, so the researchers decided to select and examine these. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between personality competence and the performance of junior high school teachers in Dumai Kota District. To find out the relationship between integrity and the performance of junior high school teachers in Dumai City District. In addition, this study also aims to determine the relationship between personality competence and integrity with the performance of junior high school teachers in Dumai Kota District.The method used in this study uses a type of quantitative research. The population in this study were teachers spread across junior high schools in Dumai Kota District, totaling 91 people, both civil servants and non-PNS. Determination of the number of samples is done using the Slovin formula. The sample in this study were 74 of 91 teachers. The technique used in sampling is proportional random sampling. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire. Questionnaire is a data collection technique that is carried out by giving a set of written statements to respondents to answer. The questionnaire in this study consisted of statement items related to personality competence, integrity and teacher performance. The techniques used in data analysis are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The descriptive results of the study show that the teacher performance category is in the medium category, namely 25 (33.78)%, the personality competency category is in the moderate category, namely 23 (31.08)%, the integrity category is in the moderate category, namely 26 (35, 13)%. Based on the hypothesis test and correlation coefficient, it was found that, first, the results of the study showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between personality competence and teacher performance. The correlation coefficient r = 0.681 which shows the interpretation of the correlation is in the strong category. This means that the level of closeness of the relationship between personality competence (X1) and teacher performance (Y) is very close. This means that
teacher performance is influenced by personality competence by 0.681 or 68.1% while the remaining 31.9% is influenced by other variables. Second, the second hypothesis which states that the results of the study show that there is a positive and significant relationship between integrity and teacher performance. The correlation coefficient r = 0.643 which shows the interpretation of the correlation is in the strong category. This means that the degree of closeness between integrity (X2) and teacher performance (Y) is very close. This means that teacher performance is influenced by integrity by 0.643 or 64.3% while the remaining 35.7%. Third, the third hypothesis which states that the research results show a relationship between personality competence and integrity together with teacher performance produces a correlation coefficient of 0.717. This shows the level of simultaneous relationship between personality competence (X1) and integrity (X2) with teacher performance (Y). The strength of the relationship between personality competence (X1) and teacher performance with a personal correlation between integrity (X2) and teacher performance (Y) is 0.717 or 71.7% while the remaining 28.3% is influenced by other factors.
