Strategi Mitigasi Kebakaran Lahan Terhadap Kualitas Udara Dan Resiko Kesehatan Masyarakat (Studi Kasus : Kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci, Kabupaten Pelalawan, Provinsiriau)

Land fires are occurred almost every year during the dry season in
Pangkalan Kerinci District. This condition resulted in damage and loss in terms
of economic, social and environment that will inhibit the rate of development in
Pangkalan Kerinci District so that necessary control measures against land and
forest fires.
This study have three main objectives that include the following:(1) to
analyze relation of land fires to air quality and public health; (2) to analyze the
community partisipation in land fire prevention; (3) to formulate a land fire
prevention mitigation strategy based on community perceptions and information
from relevant informants.
The research method used was a case study, the samples for this study
were selected through purposive sampling method were the data for this study
were obtained through questioner, interview and observation, and the data
obtained were analyzed through quantitative and qualitative approaches, and
then to add the information for this study were used through determining key
informants, key informants included are Pelalawan District Disaster Management
Agency, Pelalawan Resort Police, Pelalawan Military Rayon Command and
Community Leaders, and then carried out the formulation of a community-based
land fire prevention mitigation strategy in Pangkalan Kerinci District which was
carried out from October 2021 to March 2022.
The results of this study that there are influence between the incidence of
land fires with the level of air quality and the level of public health that occurs in
Pangkalan Kerinci District, The community participation in Pangkalan Kerinci
District through questionnaire 167 people, interview 40 people and socialization
214 people, then the formulation of a mitigation strategy for preventing land fires
in Pangkalan Kerinci District in quadrant 1, which means that the land fire
mitigation strategy must carry out a progressive strategy by utilizing internal;
strengths to take advantage of external opportunities to achieve the optimal
strategy.
