Developing Learning Media Based On Edpuzzle For Language Expression In The Pre-Intermediate Listening And Speaking Class

Due to the Corona Virus or most known as Covid-19, The Minister of Education and Culture issued a new policy to temporarily eliminate face-to-face learning and replace it with learning from home or online learning. It can be an effective way for activating classroom even if schools or universities are closed. Moreover, in supporting this new regulation, people need to use technology. So, the online learning can be implemented well. Based on this reason, one of technologies, Edpuzzle can be used as an alternative way in teaching. This study employs research and development (R&D) as the research design. To be more specific, this research is used ADDIE as the development model. The data were collected using online questionnaire consists of a written statements for respondents to answer, while the data analysis technique used was descriptive data analysis consisting of quantitative data. Furthermore, this research has only reached development model stage and has been successfully developed and validated. It was found that Edpuzzle-based learning media in the Pre-Intermediate Listening and Speaking class showed a valid average score after going through the validation process by the validator. In addition, the developed video can be used as an alternative media used by lecturers and can be continued with practicality test and effectiveness test.
