Pengaruh Disiplin Kerja Dan Supervisi Akademik Terhadap Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru SMP Se-Kecamatan Dumai Kota Kota Dumai
The main objective of this study was to analyze the effect of work discipline
and academic supervision on the pedagogic competence of junior high school
teachers in Dumai District, Dumai City. The background of the problem in this
study is the phenomena that occur in the teacher carrying out his responsibilities
in the classroom, the teacher entering the class does not bring the Learning
Implementation Plan (RPP) where the RPP is the teacher's guide in teaching so
that the learning process is as expected. With lesson plans, teachers can
understand cognitive development and the level of student absorption. The
teacher's lack of discipline in making lesson plans as a learning tool is a problem
in the teacher's pedagogic competence. Problems that occur in the pedagogic
competence of teachers in the learning process in explaining the material are not
enough time, this is indicated by the assignment of assignments to complete the
pending material. This problem occurs because of the lack of teacher discipline,
which is marked by always being late for class. Due to being late for class so that
in carrying out learning there is not enough time, as a result, student learning
outcomes are also not optimal. Teachers are not able to manage the learning
process properly, so the learning objectives are not achieved as expected. This
research is quantitative in nature, the research sample is 75 teachers, and the
data is collected by means of a five-choice questionnaire. Data were analyzed
using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the influence
of work discipline on the pedagogic competence of junior high school teachers in
Dumai District, Dumai City, obtained the effect of academic supervision on the
pedagogic competence of Middle School teachers in Dumai District, Dumai City.
In addition, there is an influence of work discipline and academic supervision on
the pedagogic competence of junior high school teachers in Dumai District,
Dumai City. This finding concludes that the better the teacher's perception of
work discipline and academic supervision, the better the pedagogic competence of
the junior high school will be. This research is expected to be useful for improving
work discipline and academic supervision and pedagogic competence in carrying
out their obligations when carrying out learning activities and fostering students
at school.
