Pengaruh Budaya Organisasi Dan Kecerdasan Sosial Terhadap Kepuasan Kerja Guru SMP N Kecamatan Balai Jaya Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
This study aims to analyze the effect of organizational culture and social
intelligence on teacher job satisfaction at SMP N Balai Jaya District, Rokan Hilir
Regency. The background of the problem in this study is that the teacher has not
felt optimal job satisfaction, seen from the teacher's lack of confidence in his
ability to complete certain tasks, the teacher's lack of confidence that he is able to
take the necessary actions, the teacher's lack of willingness to try hard at work,
the teacher it is difficult to survive facing obstacles at work and the teacher's lack
of responsiveness to solving problems in various situations, in this study, was
analyzed by linking organizational climate and social intelligence, which have an
influence on job satisfaction. Organizational culture that functions to form rules
or guidelines in thinking and acting to achieve the goals set. The better the
organizational culture in carrying out their duties, the teacher will get satisfaction
at work. Besides organizational culture, another factor that influences job
satisfaction is social intelligence. Social intelligence is a person's skills and
abilities in forming, building, and maintaining social relations so that it will be
mutually beneficial for both parties. Humans as social beings in essence cannot
be alone, therefore social intelligence is very important in social life, especially
teachers who need the support of many people around them.
Quantitative type, sample 62 teachers. Data were collected by using a
questionnaire to determine five choices and then the data were analyzed using
descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study revealed a positive
and significant influence of organizational culture on job satisfaction and
obtained a positive and significant effect of social intelligence on job satisfaction.
In addition, there is a positive and significant influence of organizational culture
and social intelligence on the job satisfaction of SMP N teachers, Balai Jaya
District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This finding concludes that the better the
organizational culture and social intelligence, the better job satisfaction. This
research is expected to be useful for improving teacher job satisfaction with
organizational culture and social intelligence in carrying out their obligations
when carrying out learning activities and fostering students at school.
