This thesis is entitled "History of Islamic Education: Study of Islamic Education
Institution Foundation BM Muda Nurul Ilmi Padangsidimpuan City (1998-2019)". The purpose of
this study is to find out (1) how the establishment of the BM Muda Nurul Ilmi Islamic College
Foundation in Padangsidimpuan City (2) How the development of the BM Muda Nurul Ilmi
Islamic College Foundation in Padangsidimpuan City 1998-2019 (3) How the impact of the BM
Muda Islamic College Foundation Nurul Ilmi Padangsidimpuan to the community. This study uses
a historical approach, data collection methods with field studies in the form of interviews and
archive and document studies. This research was conducted at the BM Muda Nurul Ilmi Islamic
College Foundation, Padangsidimpuan City. After the data has been collected, testing the data is
done with source criticism, namely by testing the authenticity of the source and comparing the data
with one another, such as comparing the results of interviews with written evidence. Based on the
results of this study, it was concluded that the BM Muda Nurul Ilmi Islamic College Foundation
was officially established in 1998 by Drs. Pintor Siregar with his brothers, pioneers of the
establishment of an Islamic-based public school in the city of Padangsidimpuan with a background
in helping underprivileged but high achieving children and creating a balanced generation,
excelling in general knowledge and having Islamic character. The BM Muda Nurul Ilmi Islamic
Education Foundation is growing rapidly to date marked by several aspects such as educational
programs, the number of students, teachers, curriculum developments, facilities and infrastructure
as well as the achievements that have been produced every year. The resulting impact is that the
BM Muda Nurul Ilmi Islamic Education Foundation has succeeded in becoming a school of interest
in the city of Padangsidimpuan, able to form students not only to excel in the general field but also
to be able to teach Islamic values and symbols in society.
