Pengaruh Kompetensi Guru Dan Motivasi Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Guru SD Se-Kecamatan Kubu Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
This study aims to analyze the effect of teacher competence and work
motivation on the performance of SD SE teachers in Kubu District, Rokan Hilir
Regency. The background of the problem in this study is that teachers are not
optimal in preparing lesson plans which consist of making lesson plans, planning
activity management, planning achievement assessments, teachers still use
conventional methods and only use books as learning media. Lack of facilities or
infrastructure in teaching and teachers have not evaluated students thoroughly.
Based on the results of the questionnaire conducted, it is known that the teacher
only evaluates the time of tests and exams, there is no daily evaluation due to the
limited amount of time in the teaching and learning process, in this study, it was
analyzed by connecting teacher competence and teacher work motivation.
Quantitative type, the sample is 136 teachers. Data were collected by using a
questionnaire to determine five choices and then the data were analyzed using
descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was a positive
and significant effect of teacher competence (X1) on teacher performance (Y),
seen in the sig value of 0.000. If the teacher's competence is good, the better the
teacher's performance will be. The effect of work motivation variable (X2) on
teacher performance (Y) is 58.10%, there is a positive and significant influence on
work motivation (X2) on teacher performance (Y), as seen from the sig value
which is smaller than the probability value of 0.05, or the value 0.000 < 0.05. The
influence of the teacher competence variable (X1) on teacher performance (Y) is
63.2%, there is a positive and significant influence of teacher competence and
work motivation on teacher performance as shown in the F test table, it is known
that the Sig value is 0.000. This value is smaller than 0.05. The influence of
teacher competence variable (X1) and teacher work motivation (X2) on teacher
performance (Y) is 67.80%. This research is expected to be useful for improving
teacher performance with teacher competence and work motivation in carrying
out their obligations when carrying out learning activities and fostering students
at school.
