Abstract
This research was conducted on June 18 in Bantar Village, Pecah Buyung Sub
Districk, Rangsang Barat Regency, Kepualauan Meranti Regency, Riau
Province. The purpose of this study is to calculate the amount of investment, to
determine the profitability and distribution of barramundi (Lates calcalifer) and
how the feasibility of floating net cage cultivation in Bantar Village. The
method used is a survey method with a relatively small population of 1 person
who carries out the cultivation business. The results of this study found that the
total investment in floating net cages was IDR. 21,430,000,-. Operating Income
Profit IDR. 54,012,000, - Net Profit of IDR. 12,712,500,-. Total Profit Rate
reaches 15%, BCR 1.8, Profitability 12%, Sales BEP 288, Currency BEP IDR.
2,499,886, - and Payback Period for 8 months. Based on the feasibility analysis
conducted, it shows that the floating net cage business of barramundi (Lates
calcalifer) is feasible to develop. The distribution of barramundi growth reached
0.51%/day where farmers sold barramundi to toke at a price of IDR. 70.000,-/kg
with the size of barramundi reaching 2 kg/head and the survival of barramundi
reaching 86% and easy to adapt to the cultivation environment. For the sale of
barramundi, cultivators sell fish from areas such as Paranggas, Belitung, Selat
Panjang, Batam, Tanjung Balai, and also Pekanbaru
