Pengaruh Motivasi Kerja Dan Efikasi Diri Terhadap Etos Kerja Guru SD Negeri Kecamatan Bukit Batu Kabupaten Bengkalis

Education is essentially an effort to civilize humans or humanize humans. Education aims to educate the life of the nation and is needed in order to improve the quality and dignity of the nation as a whole. Improving the quality of education is determined by the readiness of human resources involved in the educational process. According to Law no. 20 concerning the National education system, education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by themselves, the community, nation and state.
The high and low quality of education in a country or school is determined by the competence of teachers. Therefore, it is necessary to increase teacher competence in order to produce a high work ethic, when a teacher has a high work ethic, the teacher will adhere to the teacher's code of ethics and will carry out his professional duties effectively and efficiently. Teachers in carrying out their duties require a strong work ethic in the form of work attitude, work spirit and work character that serves to achieve educational goals. Teachers who have an understanding that their work as a teacher is a noble and necessary thing will have a high work ethic and will carry out their work with enthusiasm. Meanwhile, teachers who think that their duties as a teacher are a burden will result in a low work ethic and will carry out their work in a forced and modest way.
The teacher's work ethic is an attitude that is not formed by itself or is born from birth, but takes a long time to form and requires extra effort. Based on the symptoms that have been found so many factors that affect the work ethic of teachers. According to Priansa (2016) and Siagian (2013) which have been synthesized by researchers that the factors that influence work ethic are motivation, work environment, education, self-assessment (self-efficacy) and work rewards or incentives. However, in this study, we will discuss two factors that influence the work ethic of teachers, namely work motivation and self-efficacy.
This study raises research problems regarding: 1) Is there a positive and significant influence between work motivation on the work ethic of SD Negeri teachers, Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency?; 2) Is there a positive and significant influence between self-efficacy on the work ethic of SD Negeri teachers, Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency?; 3) Is there a positive and significant influence between work motivation and self-efficacy on the work ethic of SD Negeri teachers, Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency?. Then this research aims to; 1) To analyze the effect of work motivation on the work ethic of State Elementary School teachers in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency; 2) To analyze the effect of self-efficacy on the work ethic of elementary school teachers in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency; and 3) To analyze the effect of
work motivation and self-efficacy on the work ethic of SD Negeri teachers in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency.
This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of ex post fact research. The technique in this study was conducted to analyze the effect of two independent variables (independent variables) namely work motivation (X1), self-efficacy (X2), on one dependent variable (dependent variable) namely the teacher's work ethic (Y). The population in this study were all elementary school teachers in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency, Bengkalis Regency, which amounted to 178 populations. Then the research sample was the teachers of SD Negeri Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency as many as 65 people who were randomly selected using the Slovin formula. The trial was carried out on teachers as many as 20 people who were taken outside the research sample. The technique of collecting data is in the form of an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Meanwhile, used to process and analyze the data in this research is the analysis technique of the research data profile in the form of descriptions, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The research data were analyzed using the SPSS (statistical package for social science) version 23 program.
The results of the study obtained a positive and significant influence between the effect of work motivation on the work ethic of elementary school teachers in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency, there was an effect of self-efficacy on the work ethic of elementary school teachers in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency, as well as the effect of work motivation and self-efficacy together. on the work ethic of elementary school teachers in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency. The results of this study can be concluded that the better the teacher's work motivation, the teacher's work ethic will increase, then the better the teacher's self-efficacy, the better the teacher's work ethic in carrying out their duties, as well as together. This research is expected to be useful for improving and increasing work motivation and self-efficacy so that the teacher's work ethic increases, so that it will have a real effect on the development of education in schools.
