Pengaruh Pengawasan Kepala Sekolah Dan Kompensasi Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMA N Se Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
This study aims to analyze the effect of principal supervision and
compensation on the performance of public high school teachers in Bangko
District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The background of the problem in this research is
the pre-observation phenomenon found in the lack of teachers providing
individual assistance to students who are slow, the ability to improve the quality
of teacher work such as opportunities to attend education and training, the ability
to improve teacher behavior such as teachers work by continuously relying on the
help of others. others, the ability to motivate teachers to work according to their
abilities without having to try more optimally, the ability to supervise tasks such
as teachers providing special guidance for students whose scores are still low,
and the ability to assess teacher competencies. The monitoring is still not running
optimally. This is due to the busyness of the Principal attending meetings with a
very far distance from the school. Improving teacher performance is influenced by
the supervision of the principal. If the implementation of the teacher's duties is not
supervised in the sense of not getting guidance from the principal, it is certain
that the learning process will not run well and the learning objectives will not be
achieved optimally. In addition to Principal Supervision, teacher performance is
also influenced by the size of the compensation. The population in this study was
high school teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency with a total of 132
people. Sampling in this study was carried out using a simple random sampling
technique so that a sample of 100 teachers was obtained. The data collection
technique used is a questionnaire. The questionnaire (questionnaire) was
conducted by providing responses to the questionnaire in the form of a Likert
scale. Analysis of the data used is inferential statistics. After conducting research
and data analysis, it was found that there was a positive and significant effect of
principal supervision (X1) on the performance of high school teachers (Y) in
Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency by 25.1%. The positive and significant
effect of compensation (X2) on the performance of high school teachers (Y) in
Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency is 29.5%. The positive and significant effect
of school principal supervision (X1) and compensation (X2) on the performance
of high school teachers (Y) in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, is 31.7%.
