Pengaruh Efikasi Diri Dan Konsep Diri Terhadap Kinerja Guru Smp N Kecamatan Rimba Melintang Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
This study aims to describe the effect of self-efficacy and self-concept on the performance of SMP N teachers in Rimba Melintang District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The background of the problem in this research is that the teacher's performance is not maximal and optimal. This can be seen from teachers who do not know the characteristics of students. The teacher only carries out the task of completing the obligation. Furthermore, teachers who do not do and understand and develop the potential of students. teachers who do not evaluate/assess learning at the end of each teaching and learning process end up in a structured and planned manner. These symptoms that reflect the low performance of teachers will have a negative impact if left unchecked, because they will reduce work productivity which will ultimately reduce the quality of education. Several factors affect the level of teacher performance including self-efficacy and self-concept. Teachers who have high self-efficacy are when these teachers feel confident that they are able to deal effectively with the events and situations they face. Furthermore, the teacher's self-concept determines the success of the teacher in his performance. People want to perform behavior in a way that is consistent with self-concept. Individuals who have a strong and positive self-concept will see the world in a different way from people who have a weak self-concept.
This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of research that will be used is the type of explanatory research. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire with 76 respondents from 94 SMP N teachers in Rimba Melintang District, Rokan Hilir Regency, which were randomly selected as samples using the Slovin formula. The research method was carried out, namely the respondents gave responses to the questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale consisting of five answer options, namely Strongly Agree (SS), Agree (S), Neutral (N), Disagree (TS), and Strongly Disagree (STS). The data analysis used is descriptive and inferential statistics.
Based on the data analysis, it was obtained that the influence that occurs by the self-efficacy variable on teacher performance can be seen by the magnitude of the R Square value of 0.257. By using the coefficient of determination, the magnitude of the influence of self-efficacy on teacher performance is 25.7%. By looking at the magnitude of the influence between these variables, the influence that occurs between the variables of self-efficacy on teacher performance is at a low level. Furthermore, the magnitude of the influence that occurs by self-concept variables on teacher performance can be seen by the magnitude of the R Square value of 0.167. By using the coefficient of determination, the magnitude of the influence of self-concept on teacher performance is 16.7%. By looking at the magnitude of the influence between these variables, the influence that occurs between self-concept variables on teacher performance is at a low level. Then the effect that occurs by self-efficacy and self-concept variables on teacher performance can be seen by the magnitude of the R Square value of 0.297. By using the coefficient of determination, the magnitude of the influence between self-efficacy and self-concept variables on teacher performance is 29.7%. Thus, the
