ABSTRACT
High population growth in Pekanbaru City has increased the need for housing so that it can directly reduce water catchment areas. For this reason, groundwater conservation is needed as an effort to maintain the existence and sustainability of the condition, nature and function of groundwater in Pekanbaru City. The Pekanbaru City Government emphasized in Pekanbaru City Regional Regulation No. 10 of 2006, which requires that every building must have an infiltration well. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out permeability testing and groundwater measurement to determine its suitability for implementing infiltration wells as proclaimed by the Pekanbaru City Government, so that the infiltration wells to be implemented are in accordance with the characteristics of the region. (Tuah Madani and Tuah Karya Sub-Districts). The results obtained by measuring the groundwater level that meet the standardization of infiltration wells are 5 points. As well as the results obtained from soil permeability data, all of these permeability values meet the standardization of infiltration wells.
