Perkuatan Menggunakan Metode Deep Embedment Terhadap Pembebanan Geser PadaBalok Beton Bertulang Tanpa Sengkang
ABSTRACT
Beams are a rigid part of the structure of a building. This beamis specifically designed
to be able to withstand and transfer loads to column. Beams without shear reinforcement will
experience changes in behavior both in terms of strength and failure patterns. The purposes
of this study were to analyze the behavior of reinforced concrete beams reinforced with the
Deep Embedment method experimentally and to model the behavior of reinforced concrete
beam using finite element software. The results showed that the crack pattern gained in the
experiment and the finite elementwas relatively the same. This was indicated by the forming
of initial crack in the tension area of the beam in the form of a flexural crack, then the crack
gradually propagates at an angle towards the compressed part of the beam from the beam
support in the form of a diagonal crack which causes shear failure. The maximum load
attainded in the experiment was 31,1 kN and the maximum displacement was 14,50 mm.
While the maximum load from the finite element modeling was 29.088 kN and the maximum
deflection was 10.1 mm. The difference in the maximum load between the experimental
results and the result from the finite element analysis was 6.919% and the difference in
maximum deflection was 43.564%.
