Pengaruh Budaya Organisasi Dan Lingkungan Kerja Terhadap Loyalitas Guru SMA Swasta Kecamatan Dumai Selatan Kota Dumai
Education is one of the foundations in the progress of a nation, the better
the quality of education held by a nation, the better the quality of the nation will
be. To produce good quality of human resources, professional teachers are
needed. Especially teachers who can carry out their duties and responsibilities
properly in educating students. But professionalism is not the only thing that must
be possessed by a teacher. To maintain the effectiveness and productivity of a
school, it requires human resources who are dedicated, committed, obedient to
regulations, have a sense of responsibility and a willingness to work together and
like their jobs, which is also referred as loyalty. A loyal teacher will dedicate
himself to the progress of the school. The purpose of this study was to analyze the
influence of organizational culture and work environment on the loyalty of private
senior high school teachers in South Dumai District, Dumai City, both partially
and simultaneously.
This research used an ex post facto (non-experimental) approach. So that
in this research it does not carry out the treatment of research variables but
rather examines the facts that have occurred and have been carried out by
research subjects. The research was carried out in all private high schools in
South Dumai District, Dumai City, from March 2022 to October 2022. The
population for this research was 80 teachers. The sampling technique used in this
research is to use saturated sampling techniques. So the number of samples used
is as many as 80 teachers. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire.
The questionnaire in this study used a Likert scale.
Data analysis techniques in quantitative research use descriptive
statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Descriptive statistics are
statistics that are used to analyze data by describing or describing the data that
has been collected as it is without intending to make general conclusions. Testing
the hypothesis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 25
software. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the effect of
variables X1 and X2 individually (partially) or jointly (simultaneously) on variable
Y.
The results of this study indicate that there is a significant and positive
influence of organizational culture (X1) and work environment (X2) on teacher
loyalty (Y) of private high schools in South Dumai District, Dumai City, as
indicated by the regression equation Y =33.547+0.667X1+0.315X2. The strength
of the relationship between organizational culture and work environment and
teacher loyalty is relatively strong, as can be seen from the correlation coefficient
R of 0.715. The magnitude of the influence of organizational culture and work
environment on teacher loyalty is 0.511 or 51% and the remaining 49% is
influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Partially, there is a
significant and positive influence of organizational culture (X1) on teacher loyalty
(Y) for private high schools in South Dumai District, Dumai City. The strength of
the relationship between organizational culture and teacher loyalty is relatively

strong, as can be seen from the correlation coefficient R of 0.690. The magnitude
of the influence of organizational culture on teacher loyalty based on the effective
contribution value (SE) is 39% and based on the relative contribution value (SR)
of 76%. Furthermore, partially there is a significant and positive effect of the
work environment (X2) on teacher loyalty (Y) in Private High School South Dumai
District, Dumai City. The strength of the relationship between the work
environment and teacher loyalty is moderate, as can be seen from the correlation
coefficient R of 0.537. The magnitude of the influence of the work environment on
teacher loyalty is based on the value of the effective contribution (SE) of 12% and
based on the value of the relative contribution (SR) of 24%.
Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the better
organizational culture in the school, the higher the teachers loyalty, the better the
work environment in the school, the higher the teachers loyalty, and the better the
organizational culture as well as work environment in schools, the higher the
teachers loyalty. Thus it can be said that the three hypotheses proposed in this
study can be accepted.
