Koordinasi Antar Unit Dalam Pengelolaan Ijazah Di Lingkungan Universitas Riau

This research has a background in which the University of Riau as one of
the higher education institutions located in Riau and the University of the pride of
the people of Riau has an obligation to provide excellent service to all
stakeholders served, including in diploma management services. However, what is
happening in the field is that the diploma management services at the University
of Riau are not optimal. There are still diplomas that have not been received by
students after the graduation procession. Students should receive their diplomas
during the graduation procession.
The purpose of this research is to find out how far the Academic Bureau of
Riau University coordinates with related units and what are the inhibiting factors
faced in carrying out diploma management services. This study used qualitative
research methods. Primary data was obtained directly through interviews with
key informants, namely the Head of Academic and Student Affairs Bureau,
Academic and Cooperation Coordinator, Rectorate Academic Evaluation Sub
Coordinator, PDDikti Manager, Faculty Administrative Sub Coordinator/Faculty
Academic Sub Coordinator and Faculty Academic Operator.
The results of this study indicate that coordination between units in
managing diplomas at the University of Riau was still not optimal, in which there
were still delays in the process of managing student diplomas. This happens
because there is still a lack of coordination between units, there is no Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP) and regulations that bind all related units and the
length of the bureaucracy to go through.
