ABSTRACT
Construction implementation can run smoothly and be completed on time, if construction management is carried out properly. Construction management can manage when the construction is carried out and when it is completed with the specified time calculation. This is done so that the construction can be carried out effectively, efficiently, and can be accounted for. One of the problems that commonly occurs in a project is project delays and mismatch between the planned schedule and the realization in the field. The purpose of this research is to restore the level of project progress so as not to experience delays by seeking optimization of project costs and duration without reducing the quality of a construction. The project being reviewed is the construction project for the "Pelita Indonesia" campus building in Pekanbaru City. The "Pelita Indonesia" campus construction project experienced work delays. In the 23rd week of project implementation the percentage of planned work was 52.09% and the percentage of work realization was 32.74%, so the work was delayed by 19.35%. Acceleration of work can be done in 3 ways, namely the alternative of adding overtime hours, the alternative of adding workers, and the alternative of the shift system. The work analyzed is only structural work that has a critical path. The results of the analysis obtained that the alternative acceleration cost of adding overtime hours was Rp. 26,218,000.00. Overtime is carried out 4 hours a day. The alternative of additional manpower is adjusted to the needs in the field at a cost of Rp. 56,870,000.00 and an alternative shift work with a productivity of 80% of the morning labor with an alternative acceleration of shift costs of Rp. 85,630,000.00. The most optimal alternative is the alternative of additional working hours (overtime) because the cheapest cost is 32.6% of the highest alternative (shift method).
