ABSTRACT
Sidewalk issues are still frequently encountered in a variety of locations, particularly in the commercial district of cities like Pekanbaru City, particularly in the sidewalk area on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman where there are numerous shops, offices, banks, places of worship, lodging facilities, different cafes or restaurants, and shopping areas like markets, plazas, and malls. In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works Number: 02/SE/M/2018 concerning Technical Planning for Pedestrian Facilities, research must be done to assess the state of the sidewalks. The value level of service (LOS), which is based on the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works Number: 03/PRT/M/2014 Concerning Guidelines for Planning, Provision, and Utilization of Pedestrian Network Infrastructure and Facilities in Urban Areas, determines the service level of the sidewalks along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman. In order to assess the comfort level of the sidewalks on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, a pedestrian perception research using a questionnaire survey that was given directly to pedestrians on the sidewalks was also conducted. According to the analysis of the sidewalk's measurements, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman's sidewalk complies with all planning requirements. The level of service (level of service) The sidewalks for Jalan Jenderal Sudirman in each research segment are included in criterion A so that the level of sidewalk service on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman is categorized as good based on the analysis of pedestrian characteristics. Based on the results of a pedestrian perception study, the percentage level of comfort level on the pavement on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Pekanbaru City in segment 1 side 1, namely 58.9%, is included in the fairly comfortable category, in segment 1 side 2, namely 64.4%, is included in the category quite comfortable, in segment 2 side 1, which is 63.1%, is quite comfortable, in segment 2 side 2 is 72.9%, it is in the comfortable category, in segment 3 side 1 is 58.9%, it is quite comfortable, in segment 3 side 2 is 56.2 % included in the quite comfortable category.
