Kombinasi Abu Tempurung Kelapa Dan Abu Serbuk Kayu Sebagai Filler Pada Campuran Lataston Lapis Pondasi (Hrs-Base)
ABSTRACT
One type of pavement layer commonly used in Indonesia is a mixture of Thin Asphalt Concrete (Lataston). A thin layer of asphalt concrete called Hot Rolled Sheet (HRS) consists of two types of mixtures, HRS Foundation (HRS-Base) and HRS Lapis Aus (HRS Wearing Crouse, HRS-WC). HRS mixture consists of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, asphalt, and filler. Filler is needed to fill the voids between the aggregate particles so as to increase the density of the mixture. In this study, an alternativeto filler replacement was carried out by utilizing swadust and coconut shell ash produced from the combustion residu wfich would later be used for standard fillers in asphalt concrete mixtures in the form of a combination of coconut shell ash and swadust. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of Marshall characteristics on a mixture of Hot Rolled Sheet-Base (HRS-Base) using a combination of coconut shell ash and swadust ash as a filler. The proportion of coconut shell ash and swadust used in this study were 100% : 0%, 25% : 75%, 50% : 50%, 75% : 25%, 0% : 100%. Based on variations in asphalt content, variations in filler, and the type of test carried out to obtain the KAO value, the number of specimens required is 75 samples. After getting the optimum asphalt content for each filler with different variations, the Marshall test was carried out to obtain the stability value and the density value of the mixture. The results of the test using the Marshall tool showed that the HRS-Base mixture using coconut shell ash and swadust had the highest stability value found in the filler percentage of 25% swadust and 75% coconut shell ash, namely 1.070,9 kg. the optimum precentage of coconut shell ash and swadust for the HRS-Base mixture is 25% : 75% because it has a high stability value and flow, VIM, VMA, and MQ values that have met the General Specifications of Bina Marga 2018 Revision 2 (2020).
