Desain Dan Simulasi Proteksi Motor Induksi Tiga Fasa Menggunakan Software Matlab
ABSTRACT
Induction motor is a type of electric machine that is widely used because it has high reliability and low price. Given its vital role, a good protection system is needed so that it can protect the motor when disturbances such as overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage and underfrequency occur which can cause damage to the induction motor. The method used in this study is an experimental research method through simulations using Matlab software based on the characteristics of standard inverse and definite relays. Analysis technique by comparing the simulation results with calculations. The test results show that when there is an overcurrent disturbance caused by an overload of 5.65 Nm, the motor current increases by 3.763 A, the current has exceeded the setting current of 2.97 A and the relay works with TMS 0.58 seconds so that at 17.05 seconds the relay will instruct the contactor to disconnect. The test results when the motor is working at a voltage of 494 V, the voltage value has exceeded the setting voltage of 418 V and the relay works with TMS for 0.54 seconds so that at 3.01 seconds the contactor will trip. The test results when the motor is working at a voltage of 285 V, this value has passed the setting voltage of 342 V and the relay works with TMS for 0.66 seconds so that at 3.95 seconds the contactor will disconnect. The use of frequency relays is less operated with definite relay characteristics with a delay time of 5 seconds. This can be proven when the frequency disturbance is 44 Hz, this value has passed the setting frequency of 47.5 Hz and the contactor will disconnect in 5.04 seconds.
