ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of the general allocation fund and direct
expenditure variables on poverty in Riau Province. The method of analysis in this
study uses secondary data which is classified as time series and cross section data.
This study uses multiple linear regression analysis to determine how much
influence the independent variable has on the dependent variable. The method of
analysis in this study uses secondary data which is classified as time series data
which is descriptive and quantitative. The data analysis technique in this study
uses multiple linear regression model estimation with statistical tests (t test, F test,
coefficient of determination R2, correlation coefficient), and classical assumption
test. The results of the study using a partial regression coefficient test (t test)
showed that the independent variable was general allocation funds with a
probability of (0.0013 < 0.05) meaning that the general allocation funds had a
significant effect on poverty in Riau Province. While the Direct Expenditure
variable has no effect on poverty in Riau Province. The F test shows that together
the two variables of general allocation funds and direct expenditures have a
significant effect on poverty in Riau Province with Prob (F-Statistic) of 0.001761
