Estimasi Stok Karbon Tersimpan Pada Hutan Mangrove Di Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah Provinsi Sumatera Utara

ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in February 2022,with aims to determine the
type of mangrove, the amount of biomass, carbon stock, CO2 uptake in mangroves
and the relationship between mangrove density with biomass, carbon stock, and
CO2 uptake, and differences of carbon stock between AGB (Above Ground
Biomass) and BGB (Below Ground Biomass). The method used in this research is
a survey method with direct observation in the area with 3 stations conversity
three transect line sampling. Based on the results, there are 3 types of mangroves;
Nypa fruticans, Rhizopora mucronata, and Sonneratia caseolaris. Carbon stock
for AGB (Above Ground Biomass) and BGB (Below Ground Biomass) have an
average value of 4.648,24 kg/m2 and 1.908,22 kg/m2 and statis fiedly different (p>
0,05).The highest average results of mangrove density, biomass, carbon stock, and
CO2 uptake were found at station 3 with mangrove density 1.811,11ind/ha,
biomass 655,65ton/ha, carbon stock 11.883,75ton/ha, and CO2 uptake 1.129,90
ton/ha. Weak relationship between mangrove density with biomass, carbon stock,
and CO2 uptake was found (r = 0,2175).
