Pembuatan Dan Pengujian Turbin Vortex Dengan Variasi Tipe Sudu
ABSTRACT
Every country is racing in developing renewable energy potential with the natural resources they have, this is because renewable energy can be a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy supply. The Vortex turbine is one of the hydropower generator turbines which has the potential as a source of renewable energy even on a small scale. The working principle of the vortex turbine is to change the flow of water into a vortex phenomenon, then the water hits the turbine blades which are connected to the shaft. In this study, variations in the type of blade used with a water flow rate of 4.2 x 10-3 m3/s were used. The best performance on type A blades is to produce 9,970 watts of turbine power and an efficiency of 59%. Type 2 blades produce 8,490 watts of turbine power and 50% efficiency, type 3 blades produce 7,491 watts of turbine power and 44% efficiency. In testing for the best performance of the three blade variations, the type A blade at a loading of 2.6 kg with a torque value of 0.420 Nm produces 9.970 watts of power and an efficiency value of 59%.
