Perancangan Rengat Memorial Park Dengan Pendekatan Hedonistic Sustainable Architecture

ABSTRACT
Rengat is a city that well-known as its rich historical heritage and later on Rengat has been called as “Rengat Kota Bersejarah”. That historical heritage which in a tangiable or intangiable legacy objects requires a place that can be a place to remember, understand and study so that this historical heritage can be inherited and preserved all time. Nowadays, this historical heritage is starting to be forgotten by ordinary people especially by today’s youth. The absence of educational facilities, the lack of interest in reading and the lack of media for conveying Rengat's historical heritage has resulted in a lack of public interest in historical heritage which it is feared will make this historical heritage disappear with time. Therefore, with the remaining heritage and existing resources, memorial park can become a new receptacle to reintroduce the history of Rengat to the local community, domestic and foreign tourists. To create a memorial park that is unique and carries local characteristics, Rengat Memorial Park will be using a Hedonistic Sustainable Architecture approach. This design accommodates a multipurpose room, performance venue and walkthrough exhibition space related to the history of Rengat which was designed using simulation and irony methods for the interpretation of historical events. Simulation and irony methods are used to bring out the essence of the environment around Rengat so that Rengat's characteristics can be displayed in a sustainable hedonic form which is also supported by historical observations, making logical arguments and comparative studies. By bringing the Hedonistic Sustainable Architecture approach, this design will create a space for historical essence that is packaged dynamically, poetically, playfully and fun but still pays attention to nature and community so as to create a container and space that is sustainable, environmentally friendly, fun and timeless era.
