Pengaruh Perawatan Mortar Menggunakan Air Gambut Terhadap Kuat Tekan Mortar
ABSTRACT On the island of Sumatra, the distribution of peatlands is generally found in the lowlands along the east coast in the provinces of Riau, South Sumatra, Jambi, North Sumatra and Lampung. The total area of peatlands in Riau Province is 4,043,602 hectares and they are found in almost all district areas, but the largest is in the districts on the East coast. This study discusses the treatment of mortar by immersion using peat water. Before making the test object, a property test was carried out on fine aggregate in the laboratory as well as a peat water pH test which was 3.92 and planning the composition of the mortar mixture in accordance with SNI 03-6882-2002. The test object is cube-shaped with a size of 5cm x 5cm x 5cm with a total of 5 samples for each variation, and the mortar is tested after 14 and 28 days of age. The variations used in this study used a ratio of cement and sand 1PC: 2PS, 1PC: 3PS, 1PC: 4PS. From the results of the mortar compressive strength test on days 14 and 28, the mortar with the maximum compressive strength was found in mortar with a ratio of 1PC: 2PS with ordinary water immersion for 28 days, namely with an average compressive strength of 33.04 MPa and a maximum compressive strength in immersion using peat water, which has an average compressive strength of 23.88 MPa with a ratio of 1PC: 2PS at 28 days of immersion. From the results of the compressive strength of the mortar, the mortar was classified as type M, namely the compressive strength of 17.2 MPa.
