Perancangan Pekanbaru Youth Center Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Futuristik

ABSTRACT
Pekanbaru City as the capital of Riau Province makes this city the center of human interaction as well as all socio-cultural and economic activities. Teenagers in Pekanbaru City have experienced significant development, especially in their activities and hobbies which are increasingly diverse both individually and as a community. Currently, the City of Pekanbaru has more than 60 youth communities divided into the fields of arts and culture, social, sports, technology, health, business and SMEs, environment, women and education. However, when gathering to carry out activities such as events, exhibitions or training, these communities do not yet have a place and tend to rent. So that the existing places do not have complete and appropriate facilities to support and develop diverse community and youth activities. Therefore a youth building is needed that can support community and youth activities with complete facilities such as a Youth Center. The Youth Center building provides programs for physical, academic, and artistic activities that are organized with a certain person in charge. Today's youth are closely related to technology, so the Youth Center building is adapted to the future-oriented, flexible and dynamic character of youth which can be realized through a Futuristic Architecture approach. Teenagers' lives cannot be separated from relationships between peer groups that can affect their social development. This relationship can be realized directly by gathering or indirectly through social media which creates a connection, so the concept used is Connection for the Upcoming. The big idea of the Pekanbaru Youth Center is to provide a place for youth and their community to strengthen relationships among youth and embrace one another to prepare for a better future for the next generation. The relationship between teenagers who embrace each other is transformed with the use of oblique and elliptical lines that create dynamic elements, materials and the latest technology and are free from ornamentation so that they can image Futuristic Architecture through their appearance.
