ABSTRAK
Bengkalis Regency is one of the regencies in Riau Province. The total area of Bengkalis Regency is 7,793.93 km2, covering islands (mainland) and seas. Sepahat Village is one of the villages in Bengkalis Regency, this village is located on the coast. Bengkalis has tourism potential and also a variety of special foods, where this potential can attract domestic tourists and local tourists. However, in its development, problems related to waterfront areas emerged, these problems included the arrangement of coastal areas which were still ineffective. The design of the Seafood Center aims to organize culinary facilities on Sepahat Beach.
The method used in the development of this seafood center is a design-based descriptive qualitative method to identify the characteristics of all aspects of tourism and also to analyze the internal factors that exist in the village, so that later it will be of interest to many people. The design of this seafood center uses an architectural design on the water's edge, the choice of this waterfront architectural approach is because it is considered to be very suitable between the theme and the design location. Waterfront architecture is a relation of the function, form and meaning of the customs that exist in the area.
