Perancangan Fasilitas Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu Di Pekanbaru Dengan Pendekatan Biofilik
ABSTRACT
Pekanbaru City also faces a waste problem. The city of Pekanbaru, which
has a vision to be a civilized metropolitan city, must pay attention to maintaining
cleanliness because a civilized city is not only concerned with infrastructure. The
waste problem in Pekanbaru is a fundamental social problem, namely the
handling, management and processing of waste in Pekanbaru. The design of an
integrated waste processing facility with a biophilic architectural approach using
the case studies combine method. Combined case studies are part of qualitative
research. Combined case studies are carried out by identifying problems
according to the function and design theme. Combined case studies study existing
cases and look specifically at similar comparative studies. Based on the
Pekanbaru DLHK statistical data in 2018, the amount of waste piled up per day
was 492.11 tons, while only around 447.5 tons were processed and only 3-5%
were processed by residents through the 3R concept. So that a TPST type waste
processing center is needed as a place for separating, processing and recycling
waste by applying the 3R concept (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle). The biophilic
architectural approach was chosen as a design strategy for the design of an
integrated waste processing facility in Pekanbaru because the planned object is a
container for reducing waste problems related to the environment so as to create
harmony between humans and the natural environment and increase creativity in
processing waste. Waste processing facilities with the TPST type with the
principle of 3R on a regional scale are designed to accommodate activities in the
waste processing process so as not to pollute the surrounding environment,
reduce piles of waste in TPA, improve the community's economy and can create
human relations with nature.
