Penerapan Prinsip Performance Based Smart Building Pada Perancangan Pekanbaru Student Center
ABSTRACT
Pekanbaru City has the largest number of universities in Riau Province, namely 2 State Universities and 43 Private Universities with a total of 113.312 students. Of the large number of universities, as many as 93.3% of them do not have adequate facilities to support students' non-academic activities. Non-academic skills are related to academic performance that can produce various positive things. Student Center is a place that accommodates and facilitates various non-academic student activities. Non-academic skills are related to academic performance that can produce various positive things. Student Center is a place that accommodates and facilitates various non-academic student activities. By facilitating various activities within one scope of the building, the need for energy in the building will also increase. In addition, users of the Student Center, most of whom are students, are also required to be able to think critically about the use of technology. In response to this, there is a need for an architectural approach with smart building technology that can maximize energy and reduce building operational costs, the Smart Building approach is taken. One of the principles in Smart Building is the principle of Performance Based which is efficient and able to use and manage building energy sources by using materials as needed to reduce the operational costs of a building. For this reason, in the design of the Pekanbaru Student Center, it is hoped that the application of the principle of Performance Based Smart Building can be a solution and provide added value in designing various facilities needed by students.
