Prarancangan Pabrik Hidrazin Dari Amonia Dengan Desain Alat Utama Reaktor Kloroamina (R-101)
Abstrack
Hydrazine is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula N2H4 which is a colorless flammable liquid with an ammonia-like odor. Hydrazine is also referred to as Diamine or Diazane or Nitrogen hydride and is a strong base. Hydrazine has not been produced domestically, so it still requires imports from other countries to meet domestic needs. The process chosen in the manufacture of Hydrazine from ammonia is the Raschig Process. This selection is based on the results of hydrazine conversion, the amount of raw material needed, reaction time, and economic aspects. Hydrazine conversion reached 99% at 130°C using 1 continuous stirred-tank reactor (CSTR) reactor. The reactor material chosen in this design is Carbon Steel SA - 283 Grade C. The choice of material for Carbon Steel SA - 283 Grade C is because Carbon Steel SA - 283 Grade C has ductility or brittleness and has better tensile strength than Carbon Steel SA - 283 Grade A and Grade B which have high agility and low tensile strength. Whereas Carbon Steel SA - 283 Grade D has insufficient ductility in forming the shell and head and is more difficult to weld in designing the reactor.
