Pengaruh Pencampuran Air Gambut Terhadap Kuat Tekan Mortar
ABSTRAK
Peat water is one of the polluted waters which is characterized by a high content of heavy metals, and has a value of Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Total Dissolve Solid (TDS), Electrical Conductivity (DHL), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand ( COD) is high, the color is blackish brown, the pH value is low so it is not suitable for use for community needs. Peat water characteristics include organic matter content, hardness level, pH, turbidity and electrical conductivity (DHL). This study aims to determine the effect of the compressive strength of mortar mixed and soaked in peat water on compressive strength. Before making the specimens, property tests were carried out on fine aggregate and peat water in the laboratory and the composition of the mortar mix was planned according to SNI 03-6882-2002. Cube-shaped specimens with a size of 50mm x 50mm x 50mm with a total of 5 samples for each variation, and the mortar was tested after 14 and 28 days of age. The variations used in this study used cement and sand ratios of 1PC: 2PS, 1PC: 3PS, 1PC: 4PS with a mixture of peat water of 0.406, 0.330, 0.280. From the results of the mortar compressive strength test at 28 days, the mortar with the maximum compressive strength was in the mortar with a ratio of 1PC: 2PS on a normal mixture with a compressive strength of 24.32 MPa. From the results of the compressive strength of the mortar, the mortar is classified as M, N, O, or S type mortar.
