Perancangan Vio-Vio Beach Resort Di Pulau Galang Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Biophilic
ABSTRACT
Batam is a large city in the Riau Archipelago province, Indonesia. Batam's strategic location close to Singapore and Malaysia makes Batam a destination for many domestic and foreign tourists visiting Batam. Every tourist who visits Batam City outside of his place of residence, will stay for at least 24 hours. This makes foreign visitors need lodging places in Batam City. The Batam area has many islands, one of which is Galang Island which is south of the main island. In the past, Galang Island was used as a place of refuge for Vietnamese citizens and now it is a popular tourist attraction with other supporting facilities such as a hospital, chapel and historic cemetery. Galang Island has beautiful beaches, one of which is Vio-Vio beach. Meanwhile, Vio-Vio Beach itself does not have accommodation, so it has the potential to be developed as an accommodation that has complete facilities such as a resort. Resort is a place to stay with facilities to meet the needs of all kinds of tourist activities. This design theme uses Biophilic Architecture which aims to foster a sense of love for nature and is expected to improve psychological health for Vio-Vio Resort Beach tourism.
