ABSTRACT
Housewifes who work as palm farm worker in Desa Bukit Kerikil because of family economic factors, the large number of needs and the increasing price of basic needs make them have to work as palm farm workers. The purpose of the research is to determine: 1) the large contribution of housewifes to family income, 2) the implementation of family functions after becoming as plam farm worker. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods. The population in this research was housewifes who worked as plam farm worker in Desa Bukit Kerikil which the total is 40 respondents. The sampling used census techniques or sampling total. Which the sample is the total is 40 respondents. Data instruments are observation, questionnaires, and documentations. The conclusions of this research are: 1) housewifes who contribute to oil palm farming with an average of 40% are 27 respondent. 2) all family functions carried out by houswifes of palm farm workers with good categories, the hig best function is the environmental maintenance function which is 90%.
