BIM or what is known as Building, Information, Modeling is one of the
technologies in the world that is currently most widely used in the field of AEC
(Architecture, Engineering and Construction). However, in Indonesia, the
application of BIM has not been fully optimized and implemented thoroughly.
However, over time, the government began to support the development of BIM
technology. This is marked by the existence of a government policy related to the
policy that construction companies are required to use construction technology
which is regulated in Article 5 paragraph (5) of Law Number 2 of 2017
concerning Construction Services which reads that the central government has

at the Disdukcapil Office of Kampar Regency. Where one of the Kampar Regency
DPRD officials saw that it was not possible to carry out KTP and KK
management services at the Kampar Regency Disdukcapil Office, so a new office
needed to be built so that the community could be more flexible in managing
population cards in Kampar district. The research objective in this study was to
evaluate the performance of the DED CAD method against the possibility of clash
detection in the BIM method. By converting manual DED into BIM method DED.
Analyze the performance of time, cost, manual DED through BIM modeling. This
study uses a qualitative approach that uses words and sentences as a description
of meaning with a comparative analysis method (Jurnal Scientific Media
Engineering, 2015), so that this qualitative comparative evaluation method is
carried out by comparing parameters in BIM application-based methods with
conventional CAD application-based methods 2D in the Kampar Regency
Disdukcapil building project at the design stage to obtain accurate document data
in the form of design documents and questionnaires. Design changes in the
building design process usually occur at any time. Starting from the schematic

handle changes made during construction projects to produce accurate DED
