Penanaman Sikap Nasionalisme Di SMAN 1 Jemaja Kabupaten Kepulauan Anambas

The attitude of nationalism at the present time has begun to fade and
disappear with the very rapid development of globalization. Starting from the flag
ceremony process which is not orderly or solemn and the lack of memorizing
national songs. The purpose of this study was to determine students' attitudes of
nationalism in history learning for class XI at SMAN 1 Jemaja, Anambas Islands
Regency. This study used a qualitative method by taking research at SMAN 1
Jemaja. The informants in this study were history teachers and students. Data
collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data
analysis used in this research is qualitative data analysis. The results of this study
are as follows: attitudes of nationalism among class XI students of SMAN 1
Jemaja in terms of being proud to be citizens of the Indonesian nation, willing to
sacrifice for the sake of the nation, love for the motherland and nation, accepting
differences/pluralism and appreciating the services of the heroes have grown
among students. The teacher's role in instilling an attitude of nationalism in
history learning for class XI students of SMAN 1 Jemaja is to always guide and
give moral messages to students, tell about heroes to increase nationalism in the
learning process, use a variety of methods so that students don't get bored easily,
and this method is considered effective. Obstacles for history teachers in
increasing students' nationalism are factors of different family backgrounds,
school environment factors, and globalization or internet use factors which have a
negative impact. Efforts made by the teacher are to approach students so that they
always leave harmful actions that are not beneficial to themselves and others and
provide advice about religious values in between lessons.
