The city of Pekanbaru, which has the largest population in Riau Province,
has caused the Pekanbaru City Population and Civil Registration Service to make
a breakthrough in the form of a waiting service application, which is a population
administration service that can be accessed via computers or smartphones to
facilitate the service process carried out and in the system. queue to work
properly.
The purpose of this research is to know and describe. Implementation of egovernment
through the Waiting Service Application in improving the quality of
population administration services at the Pekanbaru City Population and Civil
Registration Service. The theory used in this research is Implementation
according to Layne and Lee (2002). The research method in this writing uses a
qualitative descriptive method with an inductive approach. Data collection
techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data
analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing
conclusions.
The results of the study show that the implementation of e-government
through the waiting service application has been considered successful in
improving the quality of service for issuing identity cards at the Pekanbaru City
Population and Civil Registration Service. However, improvements still need to
be made to the application of the LAGU application. The conclusion of this
research is that the efforts made by the Department of Population and Civil
Registration in overcoming this problem are expanding the network and providing
continuous and comprehensive outreach to the community.
