Biosintesis Nanomaterial Zno Menggunakan Ekstrak Buah Nanas (Ananas Comosus) Dan Aktivitas Antibakterinya
ABSTRACT
Research on the biosynthesis of ZnO nanomaterials using pineapple extract and their antibacterial activity has been carried out. The aim of this research were to modify and characterize ZnO nanomaterials and its application as an E.Coli antibacterial. ZnO nanomaterials were formed through a biosynthesis process of Zn(NO3)2.6H2O as precursor with pineapple fruit extract acts as a bioreductant with variations in temperature, namely 28ºC, 50ºC, 75ºC and 100ºC. The physical properties of ZnO nanomaterials were analyzed using spectroscopy Ultra Violet-Vissible (UV-Vis), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). Antibacterial activity test of E.Coli was carried out using the disc diffusion method. The results of absorbance spectrum analysis showed that strong absorption occurred in the wavelength range of 206-365 nm with the optimum absorption produced by the 75ºC Zinc reducing agent (ZAP) sample of 6.80 a.u. XRD pattern analysis confirm that the crystal structure in the from the ZnO nanomaterial is hexagonal wurtzite. The highest peak of XRD pattern is at an angle of 2θ=36.245º with a crystal orientation of (101). The FESEM photo shows that the ZnO nanomaterial has a nanoflakes structure with a rough and uneven surface. Antibacterial activity tested using the disc diffusion method produced an inhibition zone in the 75ºC ZAP sample of 8,54 mm2 with a percentage of 669,3% against commercial ZnO. Based on this information on physical properties, ZnO has the potential as an antibacterial material.
