Analisis Modal Sosial Terhadap Keberdayaan Petani Sawit Di Kecamatan Tapung Hilir Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
Abstract
Building social capital will be able to strengthen community empowerment in
achieving an independent society, and if social capital and empowerment are
deemed unnecessary then social and economic inequality will occur. Social
capital is also very much needed in development and improving the welfare of
farmers. Sukamaju Village is a village where the majority of the people are
transmigration people and farmers are given a 2.5 hectare land area by the
company. This study aims to (1) What is the level of social capital owned by oil
palm smallholders in Tapung Hilir District, Kampar Regency. (2) What is the
level of empowerment of oil palm smallholders in Tapung Hilir District, Kampar
Regency. (3) Analyze the relationship of social capital to the empowerment of oil
palm smallholders in Tapung Hilir District, Kampar Regency. The sampling
technique uses a proportional random sampling technique. The number of subpopulations
in this study were 21 groups, the total population was 418 people and
the number of samples used was 63 samples. The analysis used to see the level of
social capital and empowerment uses descriptive quantitative analysis based on
the Likers scale while the analysis to see the relationship uses Spearman's rank
correlation. Based on the results of research on the level of social capital and
empowerment, the average value of social capital is 4.10 which means that social
capital is in the high category and the level of empowerment has an average value
of 4.18 which means that empowerment is in the high category. While the
