Strategi Dinas Kebudayaan Provinsi Riau Dalam Pengembangan Museum Sang Nila Utama (2017-2021)

Based on Government Regulation no. 66 of 2015 concerning Museums,
Museums are institutions that function to protect, develop, utilize collections, and
communicate them to the public. The museum is one of the cultural heritages, which in
its management is handed over to an agency and the museum as a technical implementing
unit in its management and development. The Sang Nila Utama Museum as a museum of
Riau Province, in its management and development is under the authority of the Riau
Province Culture Office. In managing and developing the Sang Nila Utama Museum,
several strategies are needed so that the existence of this museum can be felt and give
meaning to the community. The aims of this research are
1) to find out the history and naming process of the Sang Nila Utama Museum. 2) To find
out the role of the Riau Province Culture Office in the Development of the Sang Nila
Utama Museum 2017-2021. 3) To analyze the constraints experienced in the development
of the 2017-2021 Sang Nila Utama Museum. 4) To find out the strategy carried out by the
Riau Province Culture Office for the Development of the Sang Nila Utama Museum. The
implementation and development of the Sang Nila Utama Museum cannot be separated
from the obstacles encountered. However, the Riau Provincial Culture Office together
with the Sang Nila Utama Museum UPT are always implementing new strategies in
dealing with any problems that arise and trying to overcome them.
