Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Berbasis Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas VII SMP/Mts Pada Materi Bentuk Aljabar
Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate were the stages of the development
model used in this research to produce a learning package using the Problem Based
Learning (PBL) model of learning syntax for algebraic forms. The research aimed
to facilitate the Mathematical Problem-Solving Ability (MPSA) of students. This
ability is essential for students, but there have been many literature studies that
have shown that Indonesian students' MPSA needs to be improved. Developing
appropriate tools is one of the many efforts to improve this ability, with the note
that the development must be in accordance with the students' level of knowledge
and experience, as well as the current curriculum. PBL is one of three
recommended learning models in the 2013 Curriculum. The developed learning
tool was validated, revised, and its practicality was evaluated through small and
large group trials. The validation results showed that this research had produced
a highly valid product with validation values of 3.7 for the syllabus, 3.6 for the
lesson plan, and 3.6 for the student worksheets. Subsequently, the practicality
values obtained from the small and large group trials had an average of 3.5,
categorized as highly practical. The developed learning product, which was
validated, revised through small and large group trials, had produced a highly
valid and suitable product that can be used as a reference for teachers in developing
learning tools for classroom teaching and learning activities.
